Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Service Technician
Location: Fontana, CA
Job Duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair all systems (electrical, hydraulic, A/C, power train, etc.) on OEM's such as ASV, Takeuchi, CMC, and other FMI Equipment’s affiliated product lines.
- Operate equipment as needed to assist in locating and diagnosing the failure.
- Utilize hand and power tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Perform diagnostic testing and tuning of equipment.
- Assess parts to determine the cause of failure and/or their reusability.
- Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry and all other paperwork daily.
- Assist other technicians on large repairs or projects.
- Attend and participate in appropriate training(s).
- Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager or Foreman.
Job Requirements:
- Have own tools (hand, basic electrical testing and air or battery power tools)
- Welding/metal fabrication experience preferred, but not required
- Some sort of maintenance, repair, and diagnostic experience in the automotive, truck or equipment industries required.
- Remain respectful, positive and maintain professionalism in all situations
- Pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Must be thorough and have attention to detail to ensure quality work
- Basic computer skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and climb on or underneath equipment

Equipment Sales Representative
Location: Richland, WA
FMI Equipment is a dealer of equipment and supplies related to construction, tree care, and forestry industries. We are a “one stop shop” for machinery, trucks, service, parts and climbing gear for these industries. With 8 locations spanning Washington, Oregon, and California, our mission at FMI is to help our customers maximize uptime, gain access to high quality lines of equipment, and back it up with great customer service.
Purpose:
To generate new sales through identifying, connecting, and pursuing existing and potential clientele. FMI Equipment is proud to offer access to high quality products, and personalized sales experience from a dedicated sales representative.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain new and existing book of business
- Prospecting new clientele both over the phone and through on-site demonstration outside of our showroom locations
- Provide pricing quotations to customers
- Execute appropriate sale and service documents in a timely and accurate manner
- Consistent and accurate data management in CRM and inventory system
- Build and maintain long term customer relationships
- Ensure timely delivery of equipment
Skills and Education:
- Proficiency with internal systems and multiple product lines
- Minimum 2 years outside sales experience in rentals or sales within the construction, heavy equipment, or related industries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-confidence, discipline, and perseverance are critical in this role
- CDL is a plus, not required
- Must be willing to submit background check and DMV screening
